For the fall of 2014 Cynthia Rowley and Christian Siriano revisit the past in a fabulously modern way.  The collections which debuted during Mercedes Benz Fashion week in New York showcased a talent for retro fashion from both designers. For his fall looks Siriano found a muse in former super model Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn.  Penn was the top model from the late 30′s well into the 50′s. Her look was glamorous and beautifully tailored and Siriano brought that aesthetic into his collection.

One of our favorite looks was this floor length silver gown.  The high neck is demure and the figure hugging fit adds some sex appeal.  Though the dress alone is beautiful the hat makes it an outfit with a chic old Hollywood style.

This gorgeous Emerald green shift is perfect for the red carpet. The rich color and shimmering gold are mesmerizing. We adore the runway look with minimal accessories and a simple clutch this dress shines.

While Siriano visited Hollywood’s heyday Rowley set her sites on the laid back seventies; providing a set of looks that are sporty and chic.  The pieces featured some rainbow prints as well as an easy going flirty vibe.

We adored this neck to hem ruffled dress.  The rainbow belt adds a note of casual style and the cow boy boots give it some attitude.

You can never go wrong with a mini dress and thigh high boots. Rowley offered up this heavily embellished gem and showed it with a glossy pair of deep brown boots.
