At Sally LaPointe, luxe furs and tough leather were a recurring theme. Sally is known for her edgy and sexy looks and this collection was no different from the rest. There was an air of sophistication in satin printed maxi skirts and modestly cut crop tops. The juxtaposition of fur jackets with leather skirts screamed chic.

Sally LaPointe always seems to choose dark and rugged locations for her shows which always compliments her collections. Her designs always give off a tough vibe but she manages to insert feminine pieces. It was refreshing to see quite a few all white looks in the fall collection. White wool jackets with fur trimming made a bold statement as well as black fur trimmed turtleneck sweaters.

What I was most impressed with was LaPointe’s ability to create edgy yet professional looks like a sleek camel colored wool coat paired with pleated front fluid silky trousers that also came in white. A color palette of white, black, and navy was very New York. There were also red carpet worthy dresses like a navy satin floor length strapless gown and even the mixing and matching of separates like a white side floral printed maxi skirt with a sleeveless wool turtleneck sweater made for a unique combination. Sexy numbers like a textured gray and black deep v-neck long sleeved dress and pencil skirt blended well in the collection. Her take on last seasons hottest trend, the crop top wasn’t something any woman could pull off. Sally’s crop tops were boxy and flared out at the waist but they still were dashing and modern.

Every season Sally LaPointe makes it clear that the Sally Lapointe woman is strong, sexy, and edgy with a little bit of sass.
