Dan Thoene, acting chairman, called the meeting to order. Present were board members, Doug Stevens, Tom Pinkelman, and Roger Becker. Also present was Diane Limoges, Village Clerk.

Roger Becker was sworn in as the newest member of the Village Board. He will be filling the position vacated by Dave Rothluebber. Dan Thoene has agree to remain on the board.

The purpose of the meeting was reorganization.

The regular monthly meeting of the Village Board of Wynot was called to order at the Wynot Town Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at 7:05 P.M. by Chairperson John Eskins, Jr. Notice of the meeting was posted in three (3) public places on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 8:00 A.M., namely the Wynot Town Hall, Wynot Post Office, and the Cedar Security Bank. Roll call indicated members present: Jim Hans, Charles Jones, Maurice Ketter, and John Eskins, Jr. Also present was: Rose Rolfes, Village Clerk/Treasurer and Chad Stiles. Not present was Ron Rolfes. Maurice Ketter made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda including the following: Minutes of the Village of Wynot Oct 15, Regular Meeting; and the Claims attached hereto. Jim Hans seconded the motion; motion carried.

Chad Stiles

Chad Stiles was present to visit with the board about the progress on the clean up of his property. After some discussion the board told Chad that he needed to continue the clean up and attend the May 13, 2015 meeting to submit a plan for future progress. Attorney Mike Stevens will send a registered letter to make the progress official.

Christmas Baskets

Christmas baskets will be prepared and delivered to the following Wynot residents: Jan Arndt, Dewey Becker, John Eskins, Betty Foxhoven, Louis Hans, Arlyce Hochstein, Delores Hochstein, Bev Riibe, Judy Schroeder, JoAnn Snowe, Norma Foster, Father Olsen, Francis Uhing, Alice Beyeler and Mavis Koch.

Christmas Lighting Contest

Judging will take place Dec. 20 by Board Members between 7-10 p.m.

Building Permit

A building permit was presented to the board for approval by David Foulk. Jim Hans made a motion to approve, Charles Jones seconded it. Motion carried.

Clerk Institute

Clerk Rolfes asked permission to attend the clerk institute in Kearney in March. Charles Jones made a motion to approve, Jim Hans seconded it. Motion carried.

BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES

December 17, 2014

A regular meeting of the Board of Education, Wynot Public Schools, Dist. 101, was called to order by the Vice President, Dean Heine, on December 17, 2014 at 6:36 p.m. The public was advised a copy of the Open Meetings Act was available on the table in the Board Room at Wynot Public Schools and that the meeting was properly posted at the following places; Cedar Security Bank lobby in Wynot, Wynot Public School front entrance, and United State Post Office in Wynot. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call showed the following board members present: Dean Heine, Kenny Wieseler, Laurie Schulte, Alison Lange, and Danny Wieseler. Also present were Superintendent Jeffrey Messersmith, Principal Richard Higgins, and Business Manager Nancy Sydow.

Motion was made by D. Wieseler and seconded by L. Schulte to excuse Neil Hochstein for his absence. Carried 5-0-1

Motion by K. Wieseler and seconded by A. Lange to certify the meeting was properly advertised and adopt the agenda. Carried 5-0-1

Jim Berg from BHV Architects will be here in January to present building options. The board meeting was changed due to inclement weather and Mr. Berg was unable to make the meeting.

The Superintendent’s Report and the Principal’s Report were presented. There were no Board Committee Reports.
