PatternPlay Wordpress theme is a clean, unique way to display your web media, projects, share your services or just get blogging with the blog style layout options.
XML data has been included with this theme to make for an easy installation process. Short-codes cheat sheet as well as a video tutorial section is also included in the support documentation. All PSD files are included as well to make for easy editing of hover images, shadows and other elements on the theme.
Homepage features & options
Responsive layout ready for all major handheld devices
Standard grid layout in place of slider (optional)
Grid slider images with links automatically generate a colored image and images without links are gray-scaled out and show color on hover
Homepage style blog layout (with either slider layout) if you choose to not go with the custom post types
Options to enable or disable each section of the homepage so you can create a different layout if you wish
Flexslider2 has been added as well for an optional slider if you choose to go with a standard layout slider with larger images
Slider is video ready and is responsive as well of course
Styling options
Admin panel offers many styling options to give your theme a custom look
Colors can be changed in any section of the theme. Background of very top, center and footer background colors changed easily with a color picker option
Custom pattern uploader allows your to upload any pattern or image you wish to use for each section of the background
Typography can be changed in all sections of the theme as well using a drop down of 300+ google fonts to choose from and their weights (if available on that font)
Colors and font weights of all major heading tags are easily edited with another drop down and styling color picker inside your admin panel options section
You can also change the blue highlight on the theme with one click of the color picker options
Portfolio pages
Your choice between a 3 column or 4 column layout when creating a portfolio page
jQuery quicksand animations used on both layouts to separate images by the category they were placed in
Options available to show/hide the portfolio descriptions and heading fo each image if you prefer a clean image only look
Optional custom excerpt if you want to have a custom tagline versus the standard snippet of your content
Prettyphoto is used for the image gallery if there is no link present on the portfolio items
Ability to show/hide the more portfolio items that show below the portfolio details post if you decide to do so
Portfolio items can also use video and choose a thumbnail to display. The actual details page will show the large video
Blog section options
Ability to choose between showing a custom post excerpt and your standard content excerpt for each individual post
Choose to show or hide the related posts if you wish
Custom text can be added next to the related posts. Heading & description are available to use
Blog posts are video ready
Social media links section all ready for you to simply add in your URL and the icons will appear for you
