Good morning to all my respected teachers, parents and dear friends. Today we have gathered here to celebrate this great national event. As we all know that Independence day is an auspicious occasion for all of us. It is the most important day to all the Indian citizens and has been mentioned forever in the history. It is the day when we got freedom from the British rule after many years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of India. We celebrate independence day every year on 15th of August to remember the first day of freedom of India as well as remember all the sacrifices of the great leaders who have sacrificed their lives in getting freedom for India.

India got independence on 15th of August in 1947 from the British rule. After independence we got our all the fundamental rights in our own Nation, our Motherland. We all should feel proud to be an Indian and admire our fortune that we took birth on the land of an Independent India. History of slave India reveals everything that how our ancestors and forefathers had worked hard and suffered all the brutal behavior of Britishers. We cannot imagine by sitting here that how hard the independence was for India from the British rule. It took sacrifices of lives of many freedom fighters and several decades of struggle from 1857 to 1947. An Indian soldier (Mangal Pandey) in the British force had first raised his voice against Britishers for the independence of India.

Later several great freedom fighters had struggled and spent their whole life only for getting freedom. We can never forget the sacrifices of the Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose and Chandra Sekhar Azad who had lost their lives in their early age just for fighting for their country. How can we ignore all the struggles of Netaji and Gandhiji. Gandhiji was a great Indian personalities who taught Indians a big lesson of non-violence. He was the one and only who lead India to get freedom with the help of non-violence. Finally the result of long years of struggle came in front on 15th of August 1947 when India got freedom.

We are so lucky that our forefathers have given us a land of peace and happy where we can sleep whole night without fear and enjoy whole day in our school or home. Our country is developing very fast in the field of technology, education, sports, finance and various other fields which were almost impossible before freedom. India is one of the countries rich in nuclear power. We are going ahead by actively participating in the sports like Olympics, Commonwealth games and Asian games. We have full rights to chose our government and enjoy largest democracy in the world. Yes, we are free and have complete freedom however we should not understand ourselves free of responsibilities towards our country. As being responsible citizens of the country, we should be always ready to handle any emergency condition in our country.

We celebrate Independence day every year on 15th of August because India got freedom on the night of 14th of August in 1947. Just after the independence of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had given a speech on the Independence day in New Delhi. When people all over the world were sleeping, people in India were waking to get freedom and life from the British rule. Now, after the independence, India has been a largest democratic country in the world. Our country is a most famous country for the saying of unity in diversity. It face many incidents testing its secularism however Indian people become always ready to answer with their unity.

Because of the hard struggles of our forefathers we are now able to enjoy the freedom and breathe fresh air according to our wish. We cannot remember all the deeds of all the freedom fighters in a day only however can give them a heartily salute. They would always be in our memories and way of inspiration to us whole life.

Today is the very significant day for all Indians which we celebrate remembering sacrifices of great Indian leaders who had given their lives for the freedom and prosperity of the country. Freedom of India was possible because of the cooperation, sacrifice and involvement of all the Indians. We should value and salute all the Indian citizens because they are the real national heroes. A very warm good morning to the respected teachers and my dear friends gathered here. Today we are gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion of Independence day on 15th of August. We celebrate this day with lots of enthusiasm and joy every year because our country got freedom at this day in 1947 from the British rule. We are here to celebrate nth number of independence day. It is great and most significant day for all Indians. People of India had suffered cruel behavior of Britishers for many years. Today we have freedom in almost all fields such as education, sports, transportation, business, etc just because of the years of struggle of our forefathers. Before 1947, people were not so free even they were restricted to have rights on their own body and mind. They were slave of Britishers and forced to follow all the orders of them. Today we are free to do anything because of the great Indian leaders who struggled hard for many years to get freedom against British rule.

Independence day is celebrated all over India with much pleasure. This day is of great importance to all Indian citizens as it gives us opportunity to remember all those freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives just for giving us a beautiful and peaceful life. Earlier to the independence, people were not allowed to get education, eat healthy food and live normal life like us. We should be grateful to those events responsible for the freedom in India. Indians were treated more badly than slaves by the Britishers just to fulfill their meaningless orders.

Some of the great freedom fighters of India are Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhiji, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpath Ray, Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose and Chandra Sekhar Azad. They were famous patriots who struggled hard for the freedom of India till the end of their life. We cannot imagine that horrible moment struggled by our forefathers. Now, after many years of independence our country is on the right track of development. Today our country is a well established democratic country all over the world. Gandhiji was great leader who taught us about effective way of freedom like ahimsa and sathyagraha methods. Gandhi dreamed of an independent India with the non violence and peace.

India is our mother country and we are its citizens. We should always be ready to save it from the bad people. It is our responsibility to lead our country ahead and make it a best country of the world.

Honourable Chief Guest of the day, distinguished guests for the occasion, teachers, parents and all my dear friends.

This day 15th August of every year is a golden day engraved in the history of theworld. We got freedom on this date and it is a day worth a celebration. When wecelebrate it hoisting the flag, playing our National Anthem with fervour, distributingsweets, we need to sail back into the past to remember and pay homage to thebuilders of our nation.

My dear friends, We were the privileged lot to have been born in free India. We were able to breathethe fresh free air since our birth. If at all we want to know the pangs of agony of being slaves under a foreign rule, we must ask our elders born before 1947. It wasindeed a Himalayan task for every Indian those days to fight against those powerfulgiants – the British rulers. We must not allow those hard times and struggles fadeaway from our memories.

Hence it is befitting for us to celebrate such National festivals and recall thoseheroic deeds of our National heroes. We remember them today. Right fromMahatma Gandhi to the local patriotic leaders we owe our gratitude. When weregard those martyrs who laid their precious lives for our sake, we must not ignorethe common people who sacrificed their lot for the good cause. There werefarmers, land lords, businessmen, teachers, writers, poets and students who helpedthe land achieve the long cherished freedom.

Today we have come a long way in the path of free India. We have provedourselves worthy of freedom. We are considered as the largest democracy in theworld. How proud we were when Abhinav Bindra made our National Flag flutter and‘Jana Gana Mana’ played at the background in Beijing? We are proud of it and feelvery happy about all these positive aspects. But are we blind to the black cloudssurrounding us? Are we very successful in using our freedom in the right manner? If so, why should there be so many bomb blasts, killings, attacks on governmentoffices, cases against so many politicians and so many unstable governments?

Well my dear friends, what can a student do at this juncture? Should we go andcatch the terrorists? Should we fight against the corrupted politicians? Or should wetake over the country into our hands by waging another war for freedom? No, weare not expected to do all these things. We must keep observing things around us.We will have our own day. Before that, let us do our duty of preparing ourselves tobe well-educated citizens of tomorrow. Let us do our duty sincerely and study hardto achieve a goal. Today we require youngsters with lot of knowledge and energy.Illiteracy is the first enemy for a democratic nation. Let us get rid of illiteracy andtake India to a bright future.

Respected teachers and my dear friends, Very warm good morning to one and all present here.

Today August 15, 2015 we, Indians are celebrating our 69th year of independence. Long before India was under the rule of British kingdom. Indians have suffered very badly under the British rule. Today we have all the freedom for education, transportation, business and in every field. But before 1947 it was not such case, there was no freedom at all for the people. It's our great Indian leaders who struggled hard to bring us the freedom with the success against British rule and earned independence to India.

This day is well celebrated in the country with much pleasure. The importance of the day is to remember those freedom fighters because of whom today our life has become so beautiful. During the British rule the children/ kids were not allowed to go to school, no independent trading was allowed. All the goods were taken from India and sold at the British markets with huge prices and giving no profits to the Indians. Indians were treated like slaves. The great freedom fighters Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhiji, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpath Ray all were the famous patriots who fought for the freedom of India.

Today, if we take the example of Gaza being destroyed by the Israel kingdom, there the people is brutally killed and are very badly treated. Even the children and small kids and even new born babies are killed without humanity. They attack the rescue homes, hospitals, schools etc. Once, we Indians were also in such a stage of harassment. Today we are independent from all such powers. Our India today has a very well established democracy, judiciary in the country. All these were not just obtained but through much hard works and sacrifices made by the Indian army, leaders and the people. The leaders organized many movements against the British and at last succeeded in their aim. Gandhiji, our father of nation is the important and main leader who brought freedom to the country through his ahimsa and sathyagraha methods. Gandhi dreamed a country with non violence, peace in our country.

As Indians our duty towards the mother country is to work for the development of India. Because the India we see today is a result of sacrifice of many great leaders and it has their dreams in it. It is our privilege to make the country best among the nations and to work for its development.

Respected Teachers, Parents and dear friends
Today we have gathered here to celebrate our 67th Independence day. As we all know that on this day that is 15th August 1947 India got Independence getting rid from the British rule and since then we got some fundamental rights and overall a right to call India as our own Nation, our own Motherland. We are fortunate enough to born in Independent India but history reveals how our ancestors and forefathers suffered in the brutal rule of Britishers. Getting independence from the British rule was not a cakewalk. It took several decades of struggle right from 1857 when Mangal Pandey who was a souldier in British force first raised the voice against Britishers, since then several freedom fighters struggled and even gave their life for freedom. How can one forget Bhagat Singh, Chandra Sekhar Azad, Khudi Ram Bose who lost their life in a very tender age just for fighting for freedom. How can the struggle of Netaji and Gandhiji be ignored. Gandhiji who was the key person taught us how a big battle can be won by non voilence. Finally the result of the struggle came on 15th August 1947 when India got independence and since then we proudly celebrate this day.

In 67 years of Independence we have exponentially progressed in every field right from education, technology, sports, finance and all other fields which were not possible before Independence. India is now among the few Countries rich in nuclear power, we have been number one in the World in sports like hockey, cricket. We have won gold medal in olympics, have been successful in Commonwealth games and Asian games. In technical fields India and Indians are ahead in many Countries and these all development happened as we got the opportunity in free India.

We the Indians are proud to be a citizen of a free Country having largest democracy in the World. We have got several rights, most of all right to chose Government. But on the other side we should remember our duties too. We have to respect this independence for which our forefathers struggled to the extent of sacrificing everything including their lives. There are still some grey areas which we have to get rid off. They are few people using this Independence, rights for their self motives at the cost of the pride of our Country.

We students, children are the future of our Country, we have to carry what we have been given in better way. We have to grow up as a responsible citizen, contribute to our level best for growth and development of our motherland India. Let us take a pledge in this 67th Independence day that we will respect our independence and will always keep our National flag flying high.

Jai Hind.

Hi, good morning one and all firstly Happy 69th Independence day to all our Indians today we celebrate the Independence day of our country and i would like to explain about our Happy Independence Day 2015 in brief.

15th August in India is observed as Independence Day. On 15th Aug 1947 India got freedom from British Empire. India attained independence following an Independence Movement which followed non-violence and civil disobedience led by the Indian National Congress (INC).
During the last stages(1920’s) of the independence struggle saw Congress adopt Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's policy of nonviolence and civil resistance, Muhammad Ali Jinnah's constitutional struggle for the rights of minorities in India, and several other campaigns. Revolutionaries such as Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh preached armed revolution to achieve independence. Poets & writers such as Allama Iqbal ,Mohammad Ali Jouhar, Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam used literature, poetry and speech as a tool for political awareness. Feminists such as Sarojini Naidu and Begum Rokeya championed the emancipation of Indian women and their participation in national politics. Babasaheb, Ambedkar championed the cause of the disadvantaged sections of Indian society within the larger independence movement.
The period of the Second World War saw the peak of the campaigns by the Quit India movement (led by Mahatma Gandhi) and the Indian National Army (INA) movement led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and others, eventually resulting in the withdrawal of the BritishThe Indian independence movement was a mass-based movement that enclosed various sections of society. Although the basic ideology of the movement was anti-colonial, it was supported by a vision of independent capitalist economic development coupled with a secular, democratic, republican, and civil-libertarian political structure.

Independence coincided with the partition of India, in which the British Indian Empire was divided into the Dominions of India and Pakistan along religious lines, the partition was accompanied by violent riots and mass casualties, and the displacement of nearly 15 million people due to sectarian violence.

On 15 August 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru, who had become the first Prime Minister of India that day, raised the Indian national flag above the Lahore Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi. On each subsequent Independence Day, the prime minister has raised the flag and given a speech.
