This week at Family Fun Friday we are spending time learning about gracious and grateful living.  The holidays are always a reminder to be gracious to one another and grateful for all that we have but it’s important to remember to live this way all year long. There are many ways we can be gracious to our family, our friends and neighbors. Being grateful creates a calmness in our minds and hearts, something that is often needed this time of year.  Encourage family conversations of gratitude at the dinner table with our November table topics. Remind your spouse how much you truly appreciate them with a daily love note.

Our moms are sharing their favorite fun finds this week.  Who knew November had so many wonderful days to celebrate, don’t miss the opportunity to make the most of each day. If all the hustle and bustle of the holidays has you a little low on energy, we are sharing a satisfying icy coffee milkshake recipe, coffee makes me grateful. When echoes of “I want” and “I need” seem to dominate the conversation these days, let’s take a few moments each day to remind ourselves the importance of gracious and grateful living.

Every week at HappyandBlessedHome.com we share the talents and top posts from our blogging friends all around the web with HappyandBlessedHome.com readers via: Family Fun Friday. When your thoughts and actions to live graciously and gratefully.

The stores are full of holiday deals and the television is blaring with the latest toy and gadget and the “perfect” gift. It’s easy to become consumed with all the material demands of the season. Most of what is important and meaningful is already in our own home and communities.  Spending time connecting with our loved ones is essential for creating gracious and grateful hearts and finds. This week at Family Fun Friday we are sharing simple ways to show and encourage gratitude.

Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving were the only two holidays in November that I knew about until I read Celebrate the Everyday in November over at Embark on the Journey. Tara gives us a reason to celebrate everyday in the month of November.

Jodie at Growing Book by Book shares November Table Topics to get your kids talking at the dinner table. The conversation will stay focused on gratitude. I can’t wait to hear what my kids have to say.

Our days are busy and my husband and I are often like ships passing in the night.  A Life in Balance shows us how leaving Daily Love Notes for Your Husband is a simple but meaningful way to show him you are thinking about him.

We spend a lot of time with our children but making the most of that time can be difficult.  4 Unusual Things I Do With My Children from Women Abiding gives us some special ways to make an extraordinary impact on the time we do have with our little ones.

I have the urge to declutter and simplify my home right before any major holiday. Mosswood Connections’ Plentiful Living with a Minimalist Approach to Life shows us how a once or twice a year habit of “spring cleaning” came become a lifestyle that encourages a grateful heart.

Icy Coffee Milkshake, do I really need to say more? Shari at Faith Filled Food for Moms speaks to my hear with this delicious and motivating recipe.

Teaching During Thanksgiving !

Herchel’s rounded up some activities and printables for Teaching During Thanksgiving on Gym Craft Laundry.  Writing prompts for K-2 and a pumpkin seed tree will keep your kids busy but learning while you prepare your home and their minds for the season.  If you have a minute, show Herchel some bloggy love on Facebook.

Mexican Cuisine!

Check out Whitney’s Mexican Cuisine post on her blog That Square Plate.  Let’s take a little break from pumpkin and dive into some flavorful and rich Mexican dishes. Chips and salsa are the perfect match for the Sunday game and a vibrant fiesta salad may help balance the Halloween treats. Give Whitney some Facebook sugar here: That Square Plate on Facebook.

The Facebook party link-up has been moved to another page, located at: Like Me on Facebook Link-Up Here. It’s a great way to meet other bloggers, network and help each other grow your Facebook Page’s likes.
