Featured Bloggers:

I love how fall inspires a “new year” and “new you” proposition for many families! I think you’ll love these wonderful posts scripted by some of the most talented bloggers I know!

Cold Weather Comfort Food!

Don’t get me wrong, I love turkey and ham and mashed potatoes just as much as the next mom but I am looking forward to getting back to some of our family favorite dinner recipes.  Feeding a family can be a challenging, it takes planning and time and you can’t always please every person seated around the dinner table. If you are looking to start the new year with some new dinner ideas that are sure to be a hit with your family, you have come to the right place. Waffle fry nachos, slow cooker chili cheese dog sloppy joes and easy beef roast will satisfy the tummy and warm the soul during the winter months. Cold weather comfort food is featured this week!

Waffle fries, cheese and salsa, what a delicious combination.  This one pot Waffle Fry Nachos dish from Gator Mommy Reviews is a fast and easy dish for the whole family or even served to a larger crowd during the big game.

I like coffee and I like tea but sometimes I am in the mood for something a little more comforting, especially during the winter months. A Mother’s Shadow shares a warm Cozy Vanilla Drink recipe that is family friendly and easy to put together.

Very few dishes remind me of comfort food more than a savory roast with potatoes and vegetables. I love this Easy Beef Roast recipe from Carrie This Home, it is full of flavor, easy to throw together and it cooks all day in the crock pot so you can put it in and forget about it until dinner time. Perfect for busy families.

When possible, I like to incorporate a little bit of fun into dinner time. Raia’s Recipes shares a fun twist to meatballs with her Porcupine Meatballs recipe. Rice, beef and yummy gravy combine to make a fun looking meatball that will definitely get your kid’s attention.

A brownie, pecan, caramel treat! That is what I Dig Pinterest offers with her Chocolate Turtle Cookies! Chocolate is always comforting to me, warm up your kitchen and your soul with these fabulous and rich cookies.

I am so excited to share this Slow Cooker Chili Cheese Dog Sloppy Joes with my husband and children. The Gracious Wife is definitely doing us all a favor by featuring this hearty meal. I love that most of the work can be done in the slow cooker and add in all that cheese…delicious!

New Year New Ways for Family Fun!

Herchel’s rounded up some ideas for New Year New Ways Family Fun at her blog, Gym, Craft, Laundry.  The New Year is a great inspiration to try some things, perhaps a DIY Marbled Nail Polish Mug or take a more natural approach to living with Essential Oils.  If you have a minute, show Herchel some bloggy love on Facebook.

Christmas Learning {part III}!

Rachel is sharing some fabulous Christmas Learning homeschooling resources over at her blog, a Life Surrendered. Check out these great Christmas learning resources and keep your child engaged. Toddler winter activities and advent learning will help your child learn more about the season. Give Rachel some Facebook high-fives here: a Life Surrendered on Facebook.

The Facebook party link-up has been moved to another page, located at: Like Me on Facebook Link-Up Here. It’s a great way to meet other bloggers, network and help each other grow your Facebook Page’s likes.
