I have been curious of resin ever since I stumbled across one video in which the designer made her own charms for her jewelry pieces. I can’t remember which tutorial it was but there are many other tutorials that I you can find on the internet. These resin jewelry making tutorials are very handy if you want to make your personalized resin charms. I have brought together some jewelry making tutorials that teach you on how to create your own resin jewelry and also some tips and tricks that these designers have discovered along the way of their jewelry making!
Up first, here’s an introductive video for beginners. It’s pretty simple and straight forward. You wear gloves and when you mix the liquid resin together, you mix it with stir sticks. Then you pour it into the mold. And that’s where the magic happens! You can put anything in! Leftover beads, stickers, pieces of paper, glitter, anything that you want to keep “frozen” inside the resin!

I like using resin because then I can make my own cabochons or pendants in whatever size I want. And I do not need to hunt for any specific ones that I may need to make my designs work! I just need to look around for resin jewelry making tutorials and I am good to go!

You can also drill into the resin to put bails or you can just glue them to the backs or insert an eyepin like the video tutorial below. Like the tutorial below, you can see that any drill will do to create that hole. I like the fact that you can store flowers or leaves that you find unique and make time stop for them!
