New Job, Pizza & Beer

I turned 28 couple of weeks ago and I simultaneously accepted a job offer. On December 1st I start a new job at a local brewery here in Virginia, Old Bust Head. I’m super nervous and very excited; to say the least. The interview process was long and I have never felt more judged and exhausted in my life. When it was all over though I can confidently say that it was worth it. I’ll be doing PR and Social Media Management and although I’ve been doing this for a long time it feels new and scary going somewhere other than my parents business and working in an industry other than remodeling. My friends are excited for me and tell me that I’m going into a whole new work world working for a company that isn’t full of my family members.

As far as jobs go I believe I’ve snagged one that can be added to my list of “dream jobs”. Working for a local company with strong ties to it’s community in the state that I love doing social media. I went last week to take photos and I got to meet a lot of the team members, they were so friendly and helpful and my terror of meeting new people faded away as each person talked to me and made me feel at home.

This new job is going to bring a lot of changes to my life and my free time is probably going to be scarce. My hope though is that I’ll be able to relax at night and post a little more. You can follow my instagram for the day to day if you want and keep an eye out for my collaborations with Huckberry because I love that company to death and will never give up my fantastic relationship with them and the ability to keep introducing you to new products!

They asked me at my job interview what i know about craft beer and to be honest all I know is that prefer it.. so if anyone is into craft beer and possibly has any book suggestions for me to read up on the subject (because I’m a super nerd) I could really use them!
