Here at Hampshire’s Top Attractions we are so excited for 2017! With even more attractions throughout Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight to share with you, we’ve got a bumper year ahead. With our new website, loads of new itineraries to help you plan your top day’s out, and our 10th birthday!

Let’s start by taking a look at the fun you can have in January…

Don’t hibernate this winter, gather your tribe and head for the great outdoors at Go Ape. Tree Top Junior is open at weekends all January, enjoy a fun filled hour of tree-to-tree crossings, finishing with a zip finale! One for the whole family to enjoy together. More here…

Kick start 2017 with a bounce and burn off the Christmas indulgence with Oxygen Freejumping. It’s got over 150 interconnected trampolines for you to explore, a mega airbag to practice your moves, performance trampolines so that you can gain some serious airtime, dodgeball courts to challenge your friends, a super squishy foam pit to leap into and lots more activities to get you bouncing! Robin Hill’s award-winning electric woods event, Spirit of the Orient, that celebrates the Chinese New Year, is back! Taking place 27th – 29th January, then every weekend up to and including February half term, 3rd – 5th, 10th – 12th and 17th – 26thFebruary, from 6pm-10pm each evening. More here…

To celebrate the Tercentenary of Capability Brown Sir Harold Hillier Gardens have published a beautiful colour guide and trail across the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, showing examples of the trees and shrubs that Capability Brown used in his own landscapes. More here…

Nuffield Southampton Theatres’ new spring season features a host of family favourites including Tall Stories’ magical musical adaptation of Room on the Broom, Curve’s and Rose Theatre Kingston’s mischievous new co-production, The Twits and enchanting family favourite Babe the Sheep-Pig which will come alive with plenty of laughter, thrills and original music. The Gruffalo comes to Mottisfont in the summer holidays, with a special family exhibition of works by the illustrator Axel Scheffler, featuring many favourites from his personal collection. A fun activity trail will run alongside the gallery show.15 July – 3 September 2017 More here…

New layout in The Vyne house at The Vyne. Immersive ‘moving tapestries’ and music now transport visitors to the visit of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn in 1535. As a roof project unfolds, visitors discover a Victorian owner who saved the house from disrepair from 1842. More here…

Little Hedgehogs is an outdoor nature themed activity at Staunton Country Park, suitable for children aged 2 and a half years and older with their parent/carer during school term time.
