We’re able to offer a number of techniques including extraction, reduction, and others. However, practically speaking the state of the art is still follicular unit microscopic hair extraction transplantation.
I’m based in New York City and I’ve done over 2000 hair transplants. I’m confident that over the past three to four years that’s as much or more than any other surgeon.
I remember back in 2004 and 2005 while working at another office I was doing four to five transplantations a day and that is exhausting. Fortunately here at Anapelli we provide one service at a time.
I’m also on the staff at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital here in New York and we’re a teaching hospital for Columbia University.
Along the way I’ve taught many doctors how to transplant. They’ve come from different areas of specialization but once they’re finished here they’re certainly qualified. Fortunately as an advanced facial plastic surgeon and board-certified otolaryngologist I’m well suited to deeply understand plastic and cosmetic surgery of the scalp. Because of this experience and professional foundation I’m comfortable expressing the artistry, so important in hair restoration, my own voice and brush stroke.
