The Massy Guyana Group of Companies has continued its Social Impact Programme by making donations to 24 charitable organisations across the country.
During a simple ceremony at the staff facility located at Ruimveldt, Georgetown, recently, Chief Executive Officer Deo Persaud said the company has a high priority in terms of partnering with civic society. “The Social Impact Programme is not only about donations but we conduct volunteer work in communities in which we operate.”
The CEO believes developing communities will impact Guyana in a positive manner, so the Company seeks to impact society by regularly giving aid to the needy groups, as a priority.
The recently rebranded company (formerly Neal and Massy) is committed to helping evolve society. Representatives of the organisations that received the donations thanked the Massy Group for its continued support.
The beneficiaries of the financial and stationery donations were: the Guyana Relief Council, Bernice Mansell Foundation, Canaan Children Home, Cheshire Home, Friends of the Needy, Community Based Rehabilitation Programme, Deaf Association of Guyana, Guyana Book Foundation, Hauraruni Children’s Home For Girls, New Amsterdam Special Needs School, New Opportunity Corps, Prabu Sharan Orphanage, Radio’s Needy Children’s Fund, Ruimveldt Children’s Aid Centre, Help and Shelter, Alternative Learning System, Step By Step Foundation, Dharm Shala, red cross convalescent home, Uncle Eddie’s Home, Zabeeda Female Senior Citizens’ Home, East Bank Demerara Special Needs School, and Young Leaders of Agricola.
