Approximately 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults are at risk of hearing loss due to unsafe use of personal audio devices, including smartphones, and exposure to damaging levels of sound at nightclubs, bars and sporting events, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned.
The WHO also recommends that people should use personal audio devices for no more than one hour a day.
An Egyptian court declared Hamas a "terrorist organization", further isolating the blockaded rulers of the Gaza Strip once openly welcomed by the country's toppled Islamist-dominated government.
The move underlines Egypt's increasing hostility to Hamas, which the court blamed for violence in the country's restive Sinai Peninsula.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be leaving for Sri Lanka on two day visit.
During this visit, Ms. Swaraj will call on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and hold talks with Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
She is also expected to call on President Maithripala Sirisena.
Her visit will set the stage for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka (on 13th March 2015)
This will be the first bilateral visit to the country by an Indian premier in over 25 years.
During this visit, Modi is likely to travel to war-ravaged Jaffna in the Tamil-dominated Northern Province and Trincomalee in the Eastern Province.
He is scheduled to travel to Jaffna, Anuradhapura and Kandy during his stay in Sri Lanka.
