Gopala Gopala is an upcoming Telugu film scripted and directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasany produced by Daggubati Suresh Babu and Sharat Marar on Suresh Productions and North Star Entertainments. Daggubati Venkatesh, Power star Pawan Kalyan and Shriya Sharan were acting in the leading roles. Cinematography was handled by Jayanan Vincent. Music composed by Anoop Rubens. Gopala Gopala is an official remake of Umesh Shukla’s Hindi film OMG – Oh My God which was released in the year 2012.

Development
In early April 2013, the Paruchuri Brothers informed the media that they were in final stages in acquiring the remake rights and that work on the script would begin after acquiring the rights. It was said that Ravi Teja would play the role of Lord Krishna in this film which was done by Akshay Kumar in the original movie. In mid- November 2013, reports emerged that Daggubati Venkatesh would play the role of Lord Krishna and Rajendra Prasad would reprise the Paresh Rawal in the film. It was said that Daggubati Suresh Babu acquired the remake rights and would produce the film while Jayanth C. Paranjee would direct the film. But later Kishore Kumar Pardasany was selected as the director of the film. After many decisions Suresh Babu confirmed to media in mid-February 2014 that Pawan Kalyan would play the role of Lord Krishna and Sharath Marar would be co producing the film on North Start Entertainment. After considering the titles Deva Deva Bhaje, Go Go Go Govindha, Ori Devuda, Mr. Devudu and Gopala Gopala finally they decided the title as Gopala Gopala. Annop ruben composed music to this film who was replaced after Sohail Sen as the music director.
Casting In this Film
Initially it was reported that Venkatesh and Rajendra Prasad are playing the leading roles in the film which was later the characters changed as Venkatesh and Pawan kalyan were playing the leading roles in this movie where Pawan Kalyan is playing a God Character Lord Krishna in the movie. After considering Nayanatara, Anjali and Radhika Apte for the role of heroine opposite to Venkatesh in the film, Shriya saran was finally selected to play the role. Posani Krishna Murali, Krishnudu, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore were playing other important roles in the film.
Pawan Kalyan went to special diet and exercises to lose weight and look fit for the role. Madhu Shalini was playing journalist role. Pawan Kalyan would be seen for 25 minutes as in the original movie later extended to 45 minutes.
Filming
After Pawan Kalyan got relieved from the political duties the regular shooting was started from May 19th, 2014. Makers aimed to release the movie on September 2014. Pawan Kalyan allotted 25 days for shoot of his character in the film whose duration is half an hour. The film’s Second Schedule started on July 18th, 2014 at Hyderabad after a brief break due to Venkatesh, who went to promote his film Drushyam. It was also reported that Pawan Kalyan would join the film's sets on July 23, 2014 and makers would be shooting a special sequence in which Pawan Kalyan would be seen driving his personal bike and with that schedule, it was expected that the film's talkie part would come to an end. Later film proceeded in Ramoji Film City and later Vishakhapatnam.
Music Of Gopala Gopala Movie
In mid-April 2014 Sohail Sen was selected to compose the music for the film which was his Telugu Debut. But later he was replaced to Anoop Rubens in June 2014 as the music director of the film. The film's soundtrack was reported to feature 3 songs in total and Pawan Kalyan was reported to appear in two of them.

The film was earlier planned to be released on either September or October 2014, but a January 2015 Sankranthi release was announced in July 2014. Gemini TV acquired the film's Television broadcast rights in early December 2014. Suresh Babu sold the rights for an amount of INR200 million (US$3.1 million) as a three film package including Drushyam and Bhimabvaram Bullodu both co produced by him. The release date was confirmed as 09 January 2015. United States theatrical rights were acquired by BlueSky Cinemas Inc.
