NATIONAL TREE DRESSING DAY

Delight in some good old fashioned Christmas crafting fun with the kids at Fulham Palace, and make your own decorations using all natural materials. Once the masterpieces are finished, you’ll head on a wintry walk through the grounds to decorate the foliage with your hand-crafted creations, spreading festive cheer as you go!

CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING
THE FLOWER APPRECIATION SOCIETY
8 DECEMBER, 7 – 8.30PM

Join GROW workshop leaders, The Flower Appreciation Society, in their Hackney studio to make your very own Christmas wreath. All you need to bring is plenty Christmas spirit as all the material you’ll need will be provided, as will a delicious mulled wine to really round the evening off in festive style.

CHRISTMAS KOKEDAMA WORKSHOP
PETERSHAM NURSERIES

The Kokedama craze that has taken the indoor gardening world (and Pinterest) by storm isn’t going anywhere – so join in as Petersham Nurseries’ Thomas Broom-Hughes and Amanda Brame show you to create your own Japanese String Gardens. Using festive plants and bulbs you’ll make three different Christmas Kokedamas to adorn your home with some fun ‘living baubles’.

CHRISTMAS WINE TASTING
LIME CROSS NURSERY

Join the folks at Lime Cross Nursery for a delectable evening of wine tasting and sample the best matches for a perfect Christmas dinner. You’ll try eight different wines - sparkling, white, red, and dessert - and learn more about the producers and the methods they use to achieve such palatable results. As if that wasn’t enough, the evening will be accompanied by carolling, courtesy of Hailsham Young Farmer’s Club’s dulcet tones – an entertaining and memorable event it promises to be!

SEASONAL ILLUMINATIONS
KEW GARDENS
25 NOVEMBER – 2 JANUARY

For a magical winter wander, wind your way along Kew Garden’s twinkling winter trail, as the mile-long path meanders through the world-famous botanic gardens. Admire the beautifully illuminated winter flora, count the Christmas trees as you go, jump on festive fairground rides, and warm up with something hot and mulled whilst the Choir of Holly Bushes enchant with their sparkling sounds. And if you’ve been good, you might even catch a glimpse of Santa and his elves!
