Well know for their practical, gear for busy parents, Baby Jogger was the talk of the ABC Kids Show in Las Vegas after they debuted a lightweight stroller that does what most full size strollers do!
The Vue, comes to Baby Jogger through their recent the acquisition of NJoy Baby of Barcelona Spain. Originally called the rever, this lightweight stroller has definitely raised the bar for umbrella strollers in North America.
The Vue is designed to be reversible to allow a child to face either the parent or outward. Studies have shown benefits for young babies who face their parent while strolling. The reversible seat feature is unique in a lightweight umbrella stroller, which offers parents the convenience of going anywhere including city strolling and traveling. Additional features include upscale styling in a variety of colors, spacious storage basket, large multi-position sun canopy, and durable wheels. The Vue is one of the few umbrella strollers that can become a travel system to carry an infant car seat (car seat adapter sold separately). A soft carrycot and footmuff will also be available for separate purchase.
I had the chance to play with the stroller a bit and like how easy the conversion is from front to back. There is a multi-position recline when the seat is positioned in both directions, but the canopy does fall a little funny when the seat is in the reversed position.
Overall, I like the design and also the fact that this stroller will be available for just $199!
Overseas, this stroller has previously won the 2013 Harrogate Fair Banta Award and has been nominated for the 2012 Kind und Jugend Innovation Award. At the show this year it was awarded the 2013 JPMA Innovation Award. Look for it to start arriving in stores Spring 2014.
Also coming this Spring, is a double version of Baby Jogger’s popular Summit X3!
Perfect for jogging and strolling on any terrain, the Summit X3 Double($649) features patented Quick-Fold Technology, which allows parents to fold the stroller one-handed with remarkable ease. The remote swivel-lock locks the front wheel during exercise and releases for casual strolling and the improved all-wheel suspension system guarantees an ultra- smooth ride. Summit X3 Double offers hand-operated rear drum brakes for increased control on hilly terrain, 16″ rear and 12″ front quick-release pneumatic wheels, padded seats with ventilation, retractable weather cover and 100 lb. weight capacity.
The Summit X3 Double is recommended for use on children ranging from birth in its full- recline position to six months for street jogging and 12 months for trail running.
Baby Jogger also debuted a new pram option for their City Versa Strollers.
They will also be offering their City Mini and City Mini GT’s in a couple new bright colors. I am in love with the Lime/grey and teal/grey!
