Pink Diamonds are the most mysterious of all diamonds. Unlike all other diamonds, scientists know little about the origin of their color. Pink Diamonds don't start out as Pink Diamonds, it is their geologic setting that determines their pink color.  It is a post-growth process in a rough/turbulent Earth's mantle that diamonds can cause a diamond to acquire a pink color.

Now if all that technical information sounds foreign  to you, just know this...  Pink Diamonds are some of the rarest and most mysterious diamonds out there.  Over the last 20 years, Pink Diamonds have appreciated in price more than any other color diamond (including white diamonds).  No two pink diamonds are the same in color, each has a uniqueness all its own... call it a thumbprint of sorts.  Here at Gregg Ruth, our designers have mastered over the years techniques that will bring out the best characteristics of our colored diamonds.  An example can be seen here, as we have a 1.53ct pear shaped Light Brown Pink diamond with a hand-selected tiered pink diamond halo that helps bring out the pink of the diamond, as well as enhancing the size.
