Greenwich Library kicks off the Friends Friday Film Series on Friday, Sept. 9 with the Oscar nominated film Brooklyn. The film series is now 69 years old. For the 2016-2017 season, the Friends Friday Film Series will once again roll out a slate of award-winning new releases, classics and international films with wide-ranging appeal. This popular series is made possible by contributions to the Friends of Greenwich Library.
From award-winners like Spotlight to Hollywood classics like Blade Runner, plus foreign films and documentaries, longtime Friday Films Host Wayne Campbell has selected films to interest every point of view.
The season will run through June 30, concluding with Woody Allen’s Café Society.
In partnership with the Friends Friday Films, the Flinn Gallery will once again offer special extended hours before six art-related films this year. Grab an early dinner on the Avenue then stop by the Gallery between 6 and 8 PM to tour the current show.
