While one major employer in Connecticut is leaving, Sikorsky Aircraft plans to stay put, according to the Stratford Star.

A Bridgeport man is in critical condition after leaping from the roof of a three-story apartment building Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested a 20-year-old Milford man for allegedly driving over people’s lawns in December.

According to the Redding Pilot, A group of people, or a single person, who appear to be gun control advocates have been posting negative reviews of local groceries stores that ostensibly allow the open carry of firearms by their patrons. The affected stores include Bethel Big Y, all Caraluzzi’s Markets, and Stew Leonard’s.

In Wilton this week, A large group of emergency responders, comprised of police, fire, and Wilton CERT personnel, conducted a missing-person search Tuesday evening, Jan. 19, only to find out later that the distress signal they were told about was actually the GPS beacon of a high-end watch.

What does the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra have in common with the Church of Scientology, ISIS, the U.S. government, Mastercard, VISA, PayPal and child pornography websites? They’ve all, apparently, been hacked by Anonymous, the international “hacktivist” network.

In Wilton, Republican Lori Bufano was appointed to fill a vacant Wilton Board of Selectman seat this week. Bufano’s appointment came at 3-1 vote to take the seat Ken Dartley resigned from in November.

New Canaan First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III opened his Board of Selectmen meeting yesterday with serious comments centered around it being time to curtail any town spending other than what is necessary, and that staffing additions in the foreseeable future would be limited to the Finance Department.

A Darien church will host a community forum on the Islamic faith.
