Job details:
he Coordination Office for Development Cooperation of the Austrian Embassy Addis Ababa in Kampala is locally recruiting a Water & Sanitation Expert.
Main tasks are project and programme management including:
Project monitoring
Assessment, analysis and compilation of progress and final reports (narrative and financial)
Participation in the water and sanitation sector policy dialogue and sector coordination.
Support in tendering and management of consultancy contracts.
Further assistance to the Water & Sanitation Program Officer in ADA program management.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of Office to whom she/he will directly report.
Requirement:
University degree, with a focus on water and sanitation
Project and programme management skills and sound understanding of Project Cycle Management.
Experience in management of EU funded projects is an asset.
Knowledge of the Ugandan public administration and the water and sanitation sector.
At least 7 years' experience in technical, economic and financial issues related to water and sanitation projects. Experience in water supply and sanitation for small towns and rural growth centres.
Computer skills.
Languages: Excellent English language skills; knowledge of German is an advantage.
