INTRODUCTION
Strengthening Development for Sustainability (SDS) program is supporting the implementation of the USAID/PEPFAR Human Resources for Health recruitment exercise for selected cadres of health workers in 26 districts in both the public sector and private not for profit (PNFP) facilities. Under HRH COP 15, SDS has partnered with district local governments to recruit and manage health workers posted to public facilities.

Reports to: Senior clinical Officer

Qualifications
Must have a diploma in Clinical Medicine and
Community Health or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Must be registered and licenced with the Allied Health Professionals Council.

Duties and Responsibilities

Treats and ensures proper management of patients.

Refers complicated cases to the Senior Clinical Officer.

Liaises with other cadres in the unit in the delivery of quality health care to patients.

Participates in the implementation of primary health care activities.

Adheres to professional code3 of conduct and ethics.

Participates in research activities.

Participates in the collection of health data.

Participates in teaching junior staff, patients, and the public.

Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job application procedure
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill in the following vacant posts in the local governments of Bugiri, lganga, Namayingo, Sironko, Kitgum, Nwoya, Kisoro, lsingiro, Ntungamo, Sheema and Buhweju

Printed or handwritten application in triplicate should be submitted on Public Service Commission Form no. 3 (revised 2008) to the secretary of the respective district service commissions at the addresses mentioned at the end and must be received not later than August 19, 2016.

The form can be obtained from the respective district service commissions or downloaded from the public service commission website on http://psc.go.ug/downloads

Application should bear the title, reference number of post applied for, name of the district and name of site where the job is tenable (refer to the table below). Please include your contact address and telephone on the application. Applicants should apply for only one post in one local government. Applicants should attach to each of the three application forms or hand written application letters three (3) sets of certified photocopies of their academic certificates, testimonials, and professional registration certificates, valid practicing licenses (where applicable) and three (3) most recent passport size photographs.

Only successful applicants will be contacted by the respective district service commissions on completion of the selection exercise the list of successful candidates will be displayed on noticeboards of the respective district service commissions.
