Community Care Worker in Children services in Newton Abbot, Devon. 37 hrs a week for 3 months.
Community Care Assistant required to work with children and young people as directed, assisting with advice on parenting. Would easily suit a New Qualified Social Worker.
Undertaking direct work with children and young people, working with other professionals as part of a care plan.
Undertaking tasks within a child's care plan, working to help improve outcomes for children and young people.
The work will be undertaken under the supervision of a manager/social worker. Skills and experience required, a proven ability to work with children, young people and their families, driving license and access to transport.
Ability to work on their own, as directed and report back any concerns about the welfare of a child to social worker/manager.
Experience of working in Local Authority/Childrens Centres setting would be preferable.
An ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous knowledge and experience working with Young People behaviour and / or with Young Peoples children services
Ideally NVQ 3, however this is not essential
Driver with access to a car would be advantageous, however not essential
Current Enhanced DBS was CRB check, issued within the last 12 months
Able to reside and work in the UK
