Hays Social Care is looking to recruit an experienced Support Worker for one of the largest providers of residential children’s care in the country. Based in York, North Yorkshire, the successful candidate will provide residential support to children and young people with emotional and behaviour issues. The role will be working as part of the waking night team, offering a comprehensive residential service and ensuring the physical, social and emotional development of the young residents.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Providing support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural issues
Managing challenging behaviour
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people at all times
To promote structure, boundaries and domestic routines within the home
Working in line with young peoples are and placement plans
Provide a positive
Skills and Experience
Previous experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs
NVQ Level 2 or above in a Social Care related subject
