Secondary School Teaching Assistant Job
Aylward Academy is looking for a highly experienced Phonics Teaching Assistant to provide support to students in KS3 and above. This is a rewarding job for those who are interested in providing expert care and assistance to students with speech and language difficulties. Aylward Academy is based in Edmonton, North London, and will require a Teaching Assistant who lives nearby.
Aylward Academy has proven to raise the standard of education, and strongly encourages the academic progress of all of its students. Our client is focussing on developing its speech and language department, which is why an experienced Teaching Assistant who has delivered interventions associated with Phonics, is essential.
With a strong academic background, you will have achieved grades A*-C in GCSE English and Maths, and you will possess excellent English language communication and literacy skills.
The successful Phonics Teaching Assistant will also have:
• A minimum of 60 days experience as a Teaching Assistant within a Secondary School
• The ability to adapt to various levels of SEN
• The flexibility to assist small groups of children and provide 1:1 support
• Sound knowledge of the UK curriculum
