To be successful in this role you must have had strong previous experience with 11-18 year olds in a classroom setting. You are required to be degree or equivalent educated and be able to use initiative when delivering pre-set work.
In order to make an excellent impression and be requested back to a school it would be very useful to have a prior knowledge of the national curriculum and ability to thrive under pressure. Cover Supervision work can be tough but very rewarding.

Strong ICT skills would be desirable and a specialism in one particular subject area could prove to be an advantage against other candidates.
Your Main Duties will include supervision of whole classes or large groups, effectively managing sometimes-difficult behaviour, assisting pupils with all requested tasks.
You will adhere to the school behaviour policy and work within childcare protection legislation.
