Impact Teachers has a fantastic vacancy for an English teacher with Head of Department duties in an Independent Secondary school located in Essex.
This school provides a sound education for the children within its care, considering each student and their individual needs from 3 to 16 years of age. Discipline, tradition and care, combined with personal challenge, are the key components that are built into everyday school life. School support is also available for those pupils with mild learning difficulties. Their well qualified staff share the common goal of educating, enhancing and empowering students at every age to make the most of their abilities.
The post is to start in September 2012 and should be a 3 days a week permanent role until the end of the school year. You will be teaching English to KS2, KS3 and KS4 pupils. The right candidate should have at least 5 years experience and be familiar with the UK Curriculum in regard to English. You will be expected to be well-prepared, have great leadership skills and be able to fit into a team well.
In order to apply for this post you must have a formal teaching qualification and have taught in a school environment within the past 2 years (NQT pracs ok).
