We are a large, vibrant and diverse 2 form entry school; Governors are seeking a highly motivated practising Catholic with relevant experience to further develop this fantastic school and ensure that we continue to be the primary school of choice for the local Catholic community.

Our Lady & St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a brand new primary school built to serve the children of Poplar. The school was formed following the merger of Our Lady Catholic Primary School and Holy Family Catholic Primary School. Our aim is to create a successful and enjoyable teaching environment.
We can offer enthusiastic, well behaved children as well as supportive staff, governors and parents. We are looking for someone to share our vision in continuing to build upon the achievements of this happy and successful Catholic school.

We are proud of our school but recognise that we cannot afford to be complacent; we are looking for a candidate who can build on our solid foundations and make changes where they are needed to drive standards across the school.

We would welcome applications from experienced Headteachers as well as aspiring deputies who will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, management and communication skills, and also possess:

• A passion and enthusiasm for each individual child’s learning and determination to see that each child maximises their full potential.
• A clear, consistent focus on Teaching and Learning
• An unrelenting drive to raise standards
• A track record of supporting and developing outstanding teaching
• A vision for leading Our Lady and St. Joseph’s to outstanding performance in all respects

As a confident, innovative and proactive leader, the successful applicant will show that they are able to maintain good relationships throughout the school community and participate fully in the life of the school.

Visits to the school for prospective candidates are both recommended and warmly welcomed. Even if you have not been considering a move why not come and visit us and find out about this great opportunity to enjoy leading our community?
