A General Studies Teaching role, within a Special School in St. Helens, paying £90.00 per day.
Your new school
You will be working within large special school that provides a vibrant learning environment to pupils aged 3-16, that have a Statement of Special Educational Needs; predominantly complex special needs. The attractive school grounds house well-resourced, purpose built facilities, including sensory rooms, state of the art equipment and a therapy pool.
Your new role
You will be teaching small classes of up to 10 pupils, up to 5 days per week, delivering a mixed curriculum at Key Stages 2 & 3. You will be assisted by experienced TA’s who will be in the classroom at all times. Although initially this role is a temporary position, the school offer you a permanent role within the school should you impress.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have QTS and strong knowledge of the national curriculum; enabling you to combine your passion for teaching and desire to support SEN pupils to deliver enjoyable, high quality lessons. Desirably, you will have worked within an SEN school before, and have experience of teaching at primary school level. You must be a happy, patient teacher that will add true value to the school.
