Hays Education is currently recruiting for a Welsh speaking teaching assistant (TA) job in a primary school in the Cardiff area. Responsibilities of the job include working within a team of teaching assistants in a reception class, assisting the teacher with day-to-day activities. Your role as a teaching assistant will also include working with small groups of children, or on a 1:1 basis, helping children with basic numeracy and literacy skills. You will also be expected to assist with lunchtime and playtime duties, helping to entertain the children and to ensure their safety whilst outside.
Ideal candidates for this teaching assistant job in the Cardiff area would:
Speak fluent Welsh
Have recently worked with children and be able to provide references for these occasions
Be patient, caring and enthusiastic
Be able to work with large groups of children and on a 1:1 basis
Strive to work well within a team and individually
