This vibrant Primary school based in Withington, Manchester is looking for a Teaching Assistant with systematic phonics experience to support literacy with key stage 1 & 2 pupils.
The primary school is a short stay school/PRU that supports pupils with additional needs, often related to their emotional well being and their behaviour difficulties.

The Teaching Assistant job will involve supporting pupils who are struggling with their literacy skills, providing additional literacy support, supporting reading and supporting children during the teaching of systematic phonics. You will work alongside the teacher in delivering activities that are ability appropriate and engaging. You may also be required to support children with mild learning difficulties, including dyslexia and deliver literacy interventions.
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant job in Manchester, you must:
Have 6 months recent and relevant experience in the past 2 years that can be referenced
Have experience or practical training in systematic phonics
Confident in intervention with learning, including reading recovery
Have skills/expertise to support children with special needs & behaviour
