Craft beer festivals exist across the United States and most every state has at least one festival that serves as its signature event. In the state of Maryland, that must- attend occasion is the Maryland Craft Beer Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 14 2016 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Carroll Creek Linear Park in downtown Frederick. Presented by the Brewers Association of Maryland, this celebration of Maryland beer will include beer from 44 different breweries, including a sneak peek of beers from two breweries that have not yet opened to the public. More than 175 beers will be available for sampling, along with live musical entertainment, food, and art.

Here is the food and entertainment rundown:

Food vendors at the Maryland Craft beer Festival include BricknFire Pizza Company, Slainte Irish Pub & Restaurant, Carnivore BBQ, Greek on the Street and Norton’s Italian Ice.

Featured bands playing on the Main Stage include DarcyDawn & Co., Framing Clinton Band and Big Hoax Band and the acoustic stage will feature some of the best local talent.

Transportation to and from the event will be provided by BAM Buses providing an all- inclusive roundtrip tour including VIP tickets to the fest with four pick-up and drop-off locations: Jailbreak Brewing Company in Laurel, Heavy Seas Taproom in Halethorpe, Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore and Denizens Brewing Co. in Silver Spring (pick-up will be at 10:45 am and drop-off will be no later than 6 pm).

Tickets to the Maryland Craft Beer Festival are ONLY available in advance; general admission is $40.00 for adults, $10.00 for designated drivers and youth (12-21) and kids under 12 are free.
