The Pavilion of Charles V, a Renaissance building located in Seville, Spain, was selected for a study focused on managing information models in the field of architectural and cultural heritage interventions. This work constitutes a project of intervention based on Heritage or Historic Building Information Modelling, called the 'HBIM Project.' The outcome of this research demonstrated that BIM — in this case ARCHICAD — has the tools necessary to model complex geometries that are typical of architectural heritage. The social housing complex ‘Het Schip’ (the ship) was designed by Dutch architect Michel de Klerk in 1917, constructed in 1918, and delivered in 1919. Michel de Klerk is considered one of the main architects who influenced the Amsterdam school style of architecture, with ‘Het Schip’ being a prime example of this style. Fukushima Catering Center designed with ARCHICAD

After the tragic accident of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster caused by the earthquake in March 2011, TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) focused their efforts on the reconstruction of Fukushima. The project is estimated to last for 30 to 40 years. In order to ensure the safety of this long-term project, the improvement of the working environment for the workers is important.

One of the first projects was to create a catering center to be able to provide warm meals for the workers. Learn how the Maeda Corporation of Japan overcame a series of challenges to be able to design and build this important building using ARCHICAD and BIM.

In 2014, the JIA Japan architectural award went to Yamaga City Yamaga Elementary school designed by Coelacanth K&H. Even for the architectural firm, which has received many prestigious awards and is a leading figure of the atelier architectural firms of Japan, this particular project was difficult and challenging. The supporting tools behind the creative work of the firm members, Kazumi Kudo and Hiroshi Horiba, the main architects, and other staff were ARCHICAD and BIMx.
