Its almost the end of yet another eventful year filled with great memories and of course some phenomenal music. Year after year, artists from around the world, follow their passion and give it their all towards making the best music and giving us fans more than we could imagine. Artists have only become more creative by implementing new beats, instruments , synthesizers and what not, just to enhance the music listening experience. So it isn’t surprising when at the end of each year, fellow artists get to work towards making mashups of the songs and videos that they felt truly stood out and the chart topping tracks that always brought a smile upon our faces or even the dance tracks that had us dancing no matter where we were.

NEXU Year Mix 2015
NEXU is a group of four exceptionally talented Israeli DJs, DJ’s Teamworx, Jumperz, Roc Dubloc and Hanan L-Alouf, who have been making year mixes of top electronic dance music tracks from the past two years. This being their third edition is yet another classic mashup which is a 14 minute mix of some of the top tracks by artists like Afrojack, Oliver Heldens, The Weeknd, Tiesto, KSHMR,Valentino Khan, Axwell & Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Hardwell,Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Showtek, Jack Ü and loads more. Joris Voorn Year Mix 2015
Joris Voorn is a legendary DJ and producer from Netherlands who has his own style of music which is considered to be Dutch Techno. Having made quite a name for himself in the electronic music scene, he believes it necessary to bring light upon upcoming fellow musicians and their raw talents. So from the past few years he has set out to make his mash ups of the top tracks of the year that went by and draw attention to the tracks that he truly felt stood out by his books. Even this year Voorn declared on Soundcloud, “An amazing year for music.” “As always it’s a collection of tracks I really enjoyed, not only the hits. Hope you like it!”. Known as the Year Mix 2015, Voorn has quite perfectly weaved together over forty-two house and techno tracks to make a mix that spans over an hour. The mix not only showcased Joris Voorn’s unmatched talent to elegantly mix tracks but also some of the best tracks that we will quite definitely never forget from the year 2015. Pop Danthology 2015
Daniel Kim an exceptionally popular YouTuber, Speaker and DJ wiped away all the past atrocities that came in his life and began afresh with a music project called Pop Danthology in 2012 which gained 10 Million hits in just 3 days and drove him to instant fame. Since then he has been coming up with well crafted mashups of the various songs from the past 12 months and yet again the 2015 edition is a huge hit.
The current edition for the first time is a 2 part project as he really could not fit in the major hits of the year all in a single mix. As he explained on his website,“For the first time, I am releasing two Danthologies at once,With music from all over the world becoming more and more accessible, it has become increasingly more challenging to satisfy my fans and fit in all of their many favorite songs in my year-end mashup.” Part one of the ultimate annual anthology of 2015 features 45 tracks and the second part features 35. The mix, which spans over nearly 10 minutes, is done so meticulously by featuring video clips as well as tracks from countless musical genres and blend in such a way so as to sound a one massive track which even has a meaning. At the end Daniel also goes on to give an insight on how he goes about the track and what inspired him to do so. Vicetone – End of the Year Mix 2015
Ruben Den Boer and Victor Pool, are a dynamic Dutch DJ and production duo who go by their stage name Vicetone. With several electronic dance year end mixes out there like that from Dzeko & Torres or even Showtek, it is really not that easy to stand out. However, Vicetone have been coming up with their yearly mixes since 2013 and have absolutely ruled the scene ever since with more than six million views, fans just cant wait for it. Their mix which features on Proximity, is quite a special one this year round.It is nearly an hour long mix including 3 brand new IDs they have never played before and several other originals tracks, remixes and mashups they gathered from the past 12 months. It will also feature their latest track Pitch Black which is set to release on Spinnin’ Records.
DJ Earworm Mashup – United State of Pop 2015 (50 Shades of Pop)
Ever since 2007 Jordan Roseman better known as DJ Earworm, a San Francisco based mashup artist, sets out to make his United State of Pop Mashup which known now gained popularity world wide and even among the artists. He works towards perfectly blending the chart topping tracks of the year gone by , by making catchy and viral videos.
The tracks are selected based on the Billboard’s Year End Hot 100 chart and are usually 25 songs all put into one mashup. But this year however, Jordan, going by the theme “50 Shades of Pop”, went on to mashup 50 different tracks from the top artists like Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding , The Weeknd , Adelle, Drake , Taylor Swift and a whole lot more. He too believes that this years mix is a truly special one as he mentioned in an interview , “It’s a more eclectic mix than it was five years ago.”
