There are so many festivals this weekend, it was hard to pick just 3 events.  Check our calendar on the right for even more festivals (Flock Walk at Barefoot Landing and Fiesta Italia at Broadway at the Beach) and fun things to do including the final night of the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art!

Friday: 2014 Boardwalk Fright Nights  at Myrtle Beach Boardwalk  from 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

If you haven’t been there yet, we suggest going to get in the spirit of the season.  The month-long event is located in the Boardwalk area of downtown Myrtle Beach featuring roaming live zombies, discounted rides and attractions, children’s festival and live concerts.

Saturday: 10th Annual Little River ShrimpFest the Little River Waterfront from 9:00 am – 6:00

Sunday: The 15th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook Off  at the Hot Fish Club, King Street Grille, and Morse Park inn  Murrells Inlet from 11 am – 6 pm.

This year’s benefit, free and open to the public, begins at noon with chili samples available to purchase from over 40 area self-proclaimed “Chilimasters”. Categories of competition for this year are: Best Overall, Best Restaurant, People’s Choice, Hottest, Most Original, Best Vegetarian, Best Theme, and Best Use of South Carolina Products. Over $5,000 in cash and prizes will be given to the first place winners in each category.

This year’s event will also feature music from our region’s hottest bands as well as feature acts IAMDYNAMITE, My Goodness, and October Chorus, a performance by Chief Kamu’s Hula show, local arts and crafts, area businesses, and food from some of the area’s finest vendors.
