Myrtle Beach loves it’s festivals and we have a new street festival to share with you at the Plaza City Market on Saturday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Five Points Business Association, the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors and the City of Myrtle Beach, the street festival features live music, a public piano (come tickle the ivories), artists, vendors, food and beverages. The event is being held on Ninth Avenue North, between Kings Highway and Broadway Street, as well as in Nance Plaza, around the fountain.

Attendees can spend the morning with Yoga in the Plaza at 9:00 am, followed by Zumba at 10:00 am and the much anticipated unveiling of the Jack Thompson mural at 11:00 am. The mural, painted by artist Tom Pardue, will depict a historical Jack Thompson photograph.

Live music will  start on the main stage at 10:00 am. Entertainers include Coastal Carolina University Gospel Choir, North Myrtle Beach School Band & Choir, Carolina Country Music Festival performer Maddie Hunt, the hugely popular local trio, Special Blend and many more!

Not to leave the kids out, visit the Kid’s Zone from 12:00 pm -4:00 pm for balloon animals and face painting.

So add this to your list when looking for fun, family affordable things to do in Myrtle Beach this weekend.  What can be more fun than a beer and wine garden, food trucks and 58 wonderful vendors  including local artists, farmers, artisans, craftsmen and other local small businesses. The Plaza City Market will be a one-stop shop for everything from fresh local produce and meats, to beautiful works of art and food truck rodeo.
