I've always been a girl with long wavy hair but ever since I bleached my hair two years back, my hair has suffered terribly and I have no choice but to cut them short to a manageable length. I never really thought of getting hair extensions because well.... I change my hair colour very VERY FREQUENTLY!
Recently I decided to go back to basics - dark brown, as I am Asian after all.
So I made a decision to get
HAIR EXTENSIONS!
Clip in hair extensions, to be precise.
It is a good option for me as permanent hair extensions can be a little tricky to maintain and clip ons give me the freedom to go back to shorter hair anytime!
I got my first set of hair extensions from Irresistible Me.
Honestly, I was approached to do a review on this but I wasn't really 100% interested because:

I have never used hair extensions prior to this so I find it very troublesome to go through YouTube tutorials just to find the proper way to wear one.

I'm not sure whether these are quality hair extensions and I don't want to waste my time / effort trying them on if I don't find it suitable to my liking.
However, I was thinking to myself.... since my hair is already is very damaged condition, I may want to keep them healthy and stay off colouring for a bit. So I went and researched on Irresistible Me and I found many great and happy reviews by Beauty Youtubers around the world and they seem to make using their hair extensions really easy!
Also, these hair extensions can be coloured together at the same time, so I thought WHY THE HECK NOT?!! I can make my hair ombre and dark at the ends so I can eventually blend the colours together! (I got this sneakily genius idea by watching YouTube)
I contemplated for it awhile and finally placed my order from the US. It arrived approximately 10 days after. I wasn't expecting the parcel to arrive this quick, I must say!
So basically there are TWO types of clip in hair extensions to choose from:
SILKY TOUCH is the best-selling line made with 100% human Remy hair.
These hair extensions are fantastic quality for a friendly price and can be very easily styled, cut, colored and curled to blend in your hair perfectly.
The thickness of the hair decreases very slightly towards the ends just like normal hair does which will provide a completely natural look while wearing them. The Silky Touch extensions are perfect for anybody who loves adding a bit of volume and/or length to their hair occasionally or for special events and offer the best quality/price ratio on the market. If you’re just starting with hair extensions and you want something great, the Silky Touch clip-ins extensions are the way to go.
ROYAL REMY is the premium line made with 100% human Remy hair.
Irresistible Me uses top of the line hair and a special treatment to add extra silkiness and durability and make these the best hair extensions you can find.
The thickness of the hair is amazing – the same from the top of the weft to the bottom. This provide a lot of body and bounce while wearing them. This line is also very easy to blend with your own hair and can be very easily styled, cut, colored and curled.
Ultimately, the Royal Remy hair will last longer and is the closest match you can find to completely unprocessed hair. If you’re looking for longevity and volume, the Royal Remy line is the best choice you could make.
You can also choose the length that you want from the lengths available:
14 /16 /18 / 20 / 22 / 24 inches.
The weight - 100g, 140g, 200g - refers to the total weight of the hair you will order without the clips attached.
The thickness of the hair is relative to both the weight and the length you choose: a 14 inch 200g piece will look thicker than 14" 100g, so keep that balance in mind.
That’s why there are the following weight options:
14’’ and 16’’ – 100g, 140g or 200g
18’’ – 140g or 200g
20’’, 22’’ and 24’’ – 200g
I got myself the
Royal Remy in Medium Brown (20 inch, 200g)
worth USD289.
So the package is divided into TWO sections:
SMALL SECTION
Contains one piece of 3 clips hair extensions (for colour matching purposes) and 3 additional replacement clips. The hair is tied together with a rubber band and wrapped in a hair protection mesh.
BIG SECTION
Has a Quality & Hygiene Seal for Returns purposes.
Contains the remaining hair extensions. As for me, I have my remaining 1x 4 clips, 1x 3 clips, 5x 2 clips and 2x 1 clip. All are bundled together with a rubber band and wrapped in a hair protection mesh.
UNSEALING THE SMALL SECTION
(Sample Hair Extensions - for colour matching)
You have to open the small section first because this is the part where you need to do colour matching with your own hair. This is vital so that if you are somehow unsatisfied with the colour or quality, you may return / exchange it to Irresistible Me.
I'm super satisfied with my pick as you can see the colour blends well with my original hair!!!
On to the next section!!!
UNSEALING THE BIG SECTION
So since I'm satisfied with the sample hair, I'm moving on to the opening the rest of the hair extensions!
This is the protection seal, as I mentioned earlier. Exchanges and returns will be void upon opening.

THE ENDS LOOK COMPLETELY NATURAL TOO!
However I noticed that there are black small "bead" like split-ends. I'm not sure what are those, but I'm guessing those are the seals to protect the hair from breaking or splitting.
Only the 4x clips have a weave attached to it to maintain its shape. The rest are all just sewn together with the clips.
PRODUCT REVIEW
FIRST IMPRESSION
Box & Packaging: I'm glad the hair extensions came with an existing box and labels for easy storage. But honestly the box design doesn't blow me away. It's just pleasant that it comes in black (easy on the eyes for storage purposes). The thickness of the box is just okay, not too thick or too thin, just nice to store the hair extensions nicely. It doesn't really look the part, seeing the extensions are worth USD289(!!). However the beautiful illustration of the girl and witty wordings inside do seem really catchy IMHO. I would have preferred that to be on the cover instead of the inside part of the box. Oh, and I really appreciate the clear plastic packaging, which means my hair extensions will be dust-free! And not forgetting the protective hair mesh! That is really thoughtful for adding in about 3 layers of covers before actually being able to touch the precious soft hair!
Hair Extensions: I read a few online reviews saying that hair comes with a weird chemical scent upon unboxing but so far there is none for my review set. I tried to sniff so much that I perhaps became slightly "scent-blind" that day hahaha. But seriously, mine didn't have any unpleasant scents or anything like that sort. I find the quality of the hair really really good; they really do resemble human hair and feel very soft and light. It moves and weighs very naturally, unlike some bad quality wigs I got myself last time. Those can be spotted fake from miles away but NOT these hair extensions!
I'M SUPER STOKED WITH THE FACT THAT I MANAGED TO PICK THE RIGHT SHADE!!!
Additional clips: I didn't find any clips damaged except for my sample piece (the 3x clips), which is a real bummer as I thought all would be in top notch condition upon arriving. Oh wells. But I'm very glad that they included extras for instances like this.
So enough of rambling, now it's time to put these babies on!
BEFORE
I have chest-length hair, slightly wavy and looks pretty much damaged.
AFTER
I NOW CAN LOOK SEXY WITH LONG SEXY HAIR!!!
my final thoughts
I still am in disbelief that the hair colour matches perfectly and the texture blends so well with my real hair. These extensions are
Very Lightweight,
Really Luscious,
and most importantly, NATURAL LOOKING.
LIKE WHY HAVEN'T I DISCOVERED HAIR EXTENSIONS BEFORE!!!
Come to think of it, I only spent about 5 minutes to clip all these hair extensions into my hair!!!
That's quite an achievement, seeing that it's my first time putting on hair extensions!
I like the fact that having long hair can help me hide my fat face!
(Please don't tell me that's not the reason why some of you are still reluctant to cut your hair short HAAHAHAH!!!!)
They seriously made me feel 200% more womanly and there's something more sexy about long hair. In these pics I'm wearing all the clips given (all 10 sets of clips) but in all honesty, I don't all 10 clips to make my hair look thick in real life. Really. I think Irresistible Me are really super generous and pride in giving the best to their customers. Money wise, you won't feel cheated forking out this much to get this set of extensions because you would feel a million bucks AND apparently this is already THE BEST OF THE BEST in the market (according to experienced hair extensions wearers).
