Hello Governor Mifflin families,

We know some people have been asking about when we will make up the snow day taken on February 9. The way this year’s calendar falls, we would traditionally make up that day during our first scheduled snow make-up day on Monday, April 10. However, if we have no other snow days between now and then, using April 10 as a snow make-up day would give students a one-day week before they are off Tuesday through Friday for Spring Break. Currently, I am considering changing our practice a bit and scheduling the snow make-up day for Monday, April 17 instead. If we have no other snow days, by moving the make-up date to April 17, we would be able to give families a full week of spring break (the week of April 10) followed by a full week of school (the week of April 17). *See attached calendar.

The catch to this is that we know our weather can still surprise us. So I am waiting to make a final decision until March 10. We will send out an additional communication at that time letting you know the schedule for snow make-up. If we have another snow day before March 10, we will follow our calendar order and take the snow make-up days as needed beginning with April 10. If we have no more snow days before March 10, we will likely use April 17 for our snow make-up day.

Once we see what the next couple weeks of weather brings, we will provide you with the final decision in a follow-up communication on March 10.
