Orlando, Fla. — Feb. 5, 2014 — Xylem Inc., a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues, is enhancing energy efficiency through its Flowtronex brand’s pumping and irrigation products, as showcased at the 2014 Golf Industry Show (GIS), held February 5-6 in Orlando, Fla. Xylem will exhibit its broad product portfolio, including a new pump controller and a host of others at booth #3120.

The annual GIS trade show attracts more than 13,000 attendees, including more than 6,000 qualified buyers in the premier learning and networking event serving the business of golf course and club facilities. Along with the trade show, GIS also holds the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) golf championship and GCSAA and National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) educational conferences as part of the five-day event.

“At GIS, we’re celebrating the Flowtronex legacy of providing quality, energy-efficient equipment for the past 30 years,” said Mark Heuchert, global aftermarket manager, Flowtronex, Xylem Applied Water Systems business unit. “We’re looking forward to meeting with customers to renew existing relationships and to show others why 79 of the 100 top golf courses in the U.S. use our products.”

On display at the show will be the new Oasis EX, the next generation of simple, yet high-performing pump controllers from Flowtronex, a Xylem brand. With modern features such as remote monitoring, Web-enabled control features and advanced water monitoring, the controller will make any pump station work more efficiently and can be used to retrofit existing stations.

Other recent products on display at GIS 2014 will include:

Flowtronex Silent Storm vertical, horizontal and express vertical frequency drive (VFD) pumping systems: Designed for easy set and start, Silent Storm integrates precision computer control with variable-frequency drive efficiency to provide golf course superintendents with fully programmable stations.

Flowtronex PACE integrated pump controller and PACE 5.0: The pump controller provides a new level of advanced integration for remote monitoring, control, reporting and diagnostics of the pump station. In addition to its first in the industry features such as Web-browser based navigation, power consumption recording and integration to the irrigation central, users can review detailed reports and logs of historic power usage with the PACE 5.0 upgrade.

Water Equipment Technologies (WET) reverse osmosis (RO) systems: These RO systems provide up to 600,000 gallons per day (GPD) of water for irrigation from brackish water wells.

Goulds Water Technology 316SS stainless steel vertical impellers: The vertical turbine impellers are produced with a new, high-grade investment cast 316 stainless steel (316SS) material. This is the first product line available on the market with high-grade stainless steel impellers as a standard. 316SS is known for its enhanced ability to resist damage due to corrosion and abrasives.

“The introduction of the Oasis EX, along with our existing product line, enable golf course owners to take full control of their golf course operations,” said Heuchert. “Flowtronex products make sustainability obtainable for any golf course, no matter the size or location.”

Flowtronex systems are manufactured using top quality components and process, and all pump systems are Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL)-listed.

With more than 30 years of system experience and more than 15,000 pumping systems installed worldwide, Flowtronex experts will be on-site to provide solutions for golf courses and resorts aiming to improve efficiency, water management and operations.
