On Monday, Matthew McConaughey and the other stars of Interstellar—from the same director behind Inception—debuted the out-of-this world blockbuster at AMC Loews Lincoln Square. On the red carpet, McConaughey, the ever-dutiful husband, hurried off to meet his wife Camilla’s relatives. One female reporter was apparently so smitten with Interstellar’s Jessica Chastain that she latched on to her. When New York 1’s George Whipple asked for equal hug time, Chastain pointed out that the crystals at her neck were acting like a disco ball, “You’re getting rainbows on your face!” Chastain exclaimed. Meanwhile, another Interstellar star, Anne Hathaway, and her hubby, Adam Shulman, held court on a couch in the courtyard during the dinner at Tavern on the Green.

Sir Philip Green Parties With Beyoncé in Grand Central

On Tuesday, Sir Philip Green, the owner of Topshop and one of the richest men in England, hosted a posh dinner at Grand Central Station to toast the launch of the new Topshop Topman flagship store. One of Beyoncé’s bodyguards was so big that the songstress was able to actually hide behind him. The dinner was set up like an Art Deco nightclub. Lionel Richie, Nick Jonas, and Jessie J performed, and we also encountered Cara Delevingne and Ciara.
Comedians Support Saving the Earth with the NRDC
The NRDC partied in a former church at 583 Park on Wednesday. Seth Meyers jokingly urged everyone to vote, “yesterday.” Meanwhile, Larry David stated, “I grew up in Brooklyn. We don’t know about the environment.” And Jerry Seinfeld suggested, about his long schtick, “I could text you this whole thing, and we could get the hell out of here.”

Dior hosted the Guggenheim Museum’s pre-gala blowout on Wednesday and the seated Guggenheim Gala dinner on Thursday. Camilla Belle said she flew in on Tuesday evening and had spent the whole day prepping. We also spotted Marion Cotillard and Princess Elisabeth Thurn und Taxis. The next night, Dior’s Raf Simons turned up on the arm of Anna Wintour. And Zoe Kravitz said that she was “afraid to touch” the white Dior dress she was wearing when she got dressed.

At a Wednesday screening of The Theory of Everything—the mind-blowingly good film about Stephen Hawking—Felicity Jones said she had met the woman she played, Stephen's ex-wife, Jane Hawking. “The way she moves her hands, her voice. She’s incredibly strong,” said Jones. Christian Louboutin was one of the notables in attendance.
What Tony Danza and Heidi Klum Were for Halloween
Bette Midler hosted a Fellini Hulaweeni gala at the Waldorf last Friday. Michael Kors dressed as the Fellini Paparazzo with dark hair. Tony Danza wore an Elvis costume with blinking lights: “I’m well lit,” he quipped. Meanwhile, at TAO Downtown for Heidi Klum Halloween, sponsored by Moto X and SVEDKA, Klum showed up with butterfly wings and body paint. “Nothing is really too uncomfortable,” she said about her costume. “I just can’t see very well.” In fact, I felt her hands patting me down, like a TSA agent.
