Tonight Hell’s Kitchen 2013 will get narrowed down to two chefs.  After an intense season, Hell’s Kitchen Season 11 is about to come to an end.  Who will get eliminated on tonight’s Hell’s Kitchen 2013 Live Recap?

Last week on Hell’s Kitchen 2013 the chefs had to created gourmet burgers for a room full of foodies.  After the votes came in, Chef Gordon Ramsay announced the best and worst burgers.  Susan’s healthy Greek burger got the least amount of votes and Jon’s Caesar salad inspired burger won with over 40% of the votes.

Ramsay expected a lot out the chefs after having such a good dinner service the week before on Hell’s Kitchen 2013, but their dinner service last week didn’t go smoothly.  Ja’Nel stumbled on her risotto and Mary couldn’t her sliders right.  Too dry, greasy, no meat; Mary just couldn’t get it right.

But Mary wasn’t the chef who made Ramsay mad enough to walk out of the kitchen.  Susan was.  Susan called out entrees for a table before their appetizers were sent out.  Ramsay is in charge of expediting and didn’t like that Susan thought she was somehow good enough to take charge.   He lost his cool and told Susan if she thought she was so good then she could run the kitchen.

After a bumpy service on Hell’s Kitchen 2013, the chefs nominated Mary for elimination but couldn’t decide on a second chef; Susan or Ja’Nel?  Ramsay considered all three but sent Susan home on last week’s Hell’s Kitchen Season 11.

On tonight’s Hell’s Kitchen 2013, the four remaining chefs will have to decipher the ingredients of a dish with their senses.  The chef who can replicate the dish the closest will win a shopping spree and time with Ramsay.

For dinner service the chefs will really be put to the test when they have to run the pass.   After dinner service, Ramsay will eliminate two chefs on tonight’s Hell’s Kitchen 2013!

Back in the dorms Mary wanted to let the other chefs she wasn’t the weakest.  Will she prove herself on tonight’s Hell’s Kitchen 2013?

For the reward challenge chefs were divided into teams: Mary and Jon, Ja’Nel and Cyndi.  The teams had to complete a puzzle as a team.  Mary and Jon finished first, but won nothing.  For the real challenge the chefs had to compete in “taste it then make it.”  The chefs had to taste a dish and attempt to replicate it.

Part of the challenge was correctly identifying the protein.  Mary is a butcher and was confident in her protein choice of bison, but she then changed to lamb.  Cyndi and Ja’Nel chose venison and Jon went with beef.  Who is correct?    They all knew the puree was butternut squash but conflicted on the diced vegetables.

In order to win the chef had to have the correct protein.  Mary and Jon both chose wrong.  Ja’Nel and Cyndi were right with venison.   It came down to the rest of the components.  Both made a butternut squash puree but the puree was carrot.  For the vegetable Ja’Nel made parsnips and Cyndi made turnips. Cyndi chose correctly and got to go on a shopping spree and spend one on one time with Ramsay at one of his restaurants.

After a long day of shopping for Cyndi and cleaning the dorms for the rest of the chefs, the final four chefs on Hell’s Kitchen 2013 had to run the pass for dinner service.  Ramsay wants them to prove they can lead others.  The chefs really have to step it up tonight; Ramsay is eliminating two chefs!

Cyndi started out dinner service by impressing Ramsay.  She cooked four to five risottos at a time and they all tasted fantastic.  After impressing Ramsay on the line Cyndi took a shot at the pass.  After Ramsay told her to take charge she did good calling orders but failed the quality control test.  The sous chef messed up on purpose and she didn’t catch it.

Next up to the pass was Ja’Nel.  Ja’Nel struggled to find her voice.  To make things worse, Ramsay accused Cyndi of trying to sabotage Ja’Nel by under-seasoning her dishes!

Not only did Ja’Nel prove she could be assertive, she also proved she knows her food.  She passed her quality control dish by spotting cod when it was supposed to be halibut.  Jon went after Ja’Nel and didn’t do as well.  He failed to notice a mistake on a ticket and wasn’t communicating well with the chefs.  After taking charge of the kitchen he failed to notice the sous chef gave him butterfish instead of scallops; he failed his quality control test.    So far it looks like Ja’Nel has done the best as the pass.  However, Mary gave her a run for her money.  Mary took charge of the kitchen and passed the quality control test.

Mary went last and was determined to prove herself.  She has been told she is a weak chef so she wants to show Ramsay she is leader.  She took charge and wasn’t afraid to be assertive and ask for re-fires.  She even passed her quality control test.  The sous chef gave her lamb instead of beef and she caught it.  After getting the meat wrong in the reward challenge, she proved herself during dinner service.  Was it enough to get her to the Hell’s Kitchen 2013 final?

The chefs had to discuss who should be eliminated.  Ja’Nel was the first targeted but she was confident that Ramsay wouldn’t send her home.

Ramsay said he had a very difficult time deciding who the final two chefs of Hell’s Kitchen Season 11 would be.  In the end, Ramsay decided to eliminate Cyndi, but didn’t reveal the second chef.  However, Ramsay did reveal that Mary would be going to the Hell’s Kitchen 2013 season finale.   Who do you think will go to the finale?
