The battles were intense especially the one Geonosis. ILM again did an excellent job doing the effects for the film bring to live Lucas's universe. As I got older I asked myself after the good and great build up in story and characters could The Return of the Jedi be such a letdown in those two categories. It's really fantastic if you're in a position to try 1 of these because it will probably be something just a little different from what everybody else who does a Star Wars themed party will have.

The character shows he's growth as a leader and a Jedi, and just like I said that the previous trilogy was really about Han Solo the prequels in my opinion are really about Obi-Wans journey. I knew Mace Windu was going to die, but it was still sad. He is my favorite actor and character in the prequels.
As ever, it's the visuals that carry the full force of Lucas' yarn-spinning - the final act sees him cross-cutting with a panache worthy of his old mentor Francis Ford Coppola. Was the chemistry between Anakin and Padme better than what was in the Attack of the Clones yes, but I still didn't buy that a woman like Padme would deal with Anakin, but that's me. The relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker was great in this film and the climatic scenes between them were awesome.

He does at best a serviceable job as Anakin, but from the films I've seen him in that include the Star Wars prequel films, Takers, Awake, Jumper and Vanishing on 7th Street he's an average actor at best.
Does it live up to my childhood memories? Simply remember that the force is with you.
