Phil Wickham's "This Is Amazing Grace" garnered the "Song of the Year" honor at last week's BMI Christian Awards. "This Is Amazing Grace," off of his latest album The Ascension, gave Wickham his first career No. 1 single, claiming the top spot on Billboard’s National Christian Audience Chart for 13 consecutive weeks. The song has continually stood in the top 20 of Christian Digital Track Sales, and is currently resting at No. 2 on the CCLI Top Songs Chart. The annual awards ceremony at BMI’s Nashville offices recognized the past year’s most-performed Christian rock, contemporary, inspirational and southern gospel songs played on Christian radio.
