Water Docs @ School has already started

Thanks to a number of you who responded to our recent search for Grade 8 teachers for this program, we have reached our quota for this year!

For the next seven months, ten grade 8 classes will get their hands wet in water issues. Ecologos is co-creating the curriculum with Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF). Following an event with the Water Brothers, classes will undertake a hands-on water project, film their experience, and meet at the AGO for a Water Docs @ School Day to celebrate their films and receive awards.

Announcing the Young Filmmakers’ Competition!

We are launching our first ever competition at the 2014 Water Docs International Film Festival. Aimed at filmmakers 30 years old and under, the objective is to inspire the creation of short films that explore all topics involving water. The top films will be screened throughout the festival at the Art Gallery of Ontario, with a special screening event for winning entries.  Prizes will be awarded for the best film on water anywhere and for the best film highlighting Ontario’s water.
