Successfully Utilized New Format to Inform Beneficiaries about Medicare Options

HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 7, 2015 (PRNEWSWIRE) – Aetna (NYSE: AET) and HSN, Inc.,(Nasdaq:HSNI) in affiliation with the American Grandparents Association (AGA) (OTCQB: GPCM), recently developed and tested new programming to inform consumers about Aetna Medicare options available during the Medicare Annual Enrollment period, which runs through Monday, December 7, 2015.

According to Nancy Cocozza, president of Aetna Medicare, “We were looking for a new and different way to connect with consumers who make decisions about Medicare, and arming them with information to make choices they feel good about. We are pleased with the response to the programming, which generated more than 10,000 calls to licensed Aetna representatives. The positive reaction to the two shows confirms our findings that consumers are looking for additional outlets to get the information they need to make informed decisions about their Medicare options. The enrollment period ends on December 7, so there is still time to act.”

“We are proud of the ongoing relationship we have established with Aetna and AGA to better inform those who are considering their health care options – one of the most important decisions they make each year,” said Bill Brand, President of HSN. “The informational content and engaging experiences that we created clearly resonated with our customers, and we look forward to growing this successful partnership in the future.”

As part of the program, knowledgeable representatives from Aetna appeared live across all of HSN’s platforms – TV, online and via mobile – to discuss various Aetna Medicare options. For the first time, HSN customers were able to call and directly connect with an Aetna licensed agent to discuss their Medicare needs and options.

Aetna representatives appeared on HSN to discuss:

• Aetna Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug options for 2016

• Making sense of different Aetna Medicare choices

• Plain and simple solutions for various needs

• Tips on getting the most out of the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period

Steve Leber, chairman and CEO of AGA said, “We are thrilled to have partnered with Aetna and HSN to discuss Medicare options and empower our members to pick up their phones and get help understanding their health insurance options. Our members want to enjoy life — and feeling good about their insurance plan can provide peace of mind.”
