Attention aspiring DJs: Scratch DJ Academy and Beatport want to educate you.
In an effort to educate aspiring DJs and producers, Beatport has been made Scratch DJ Academy’s “official preferred digital music retailer”. Together, they will be offering students credits and discounts to the Beatport store, while also providing custom sample packs. There will also be a weekly series and monthly video-on-demand content produced by the Academy on Beatport’s video platform.
Beatport President and CEO Greg Consiglio said, “our partnership with Scratch DJ Academy represents the latest step in an ongoing effort to help the next generation of DJs and producers acquire the skills and resources necessary for them to nurture their craft.”
The partnership comes just prior to Beatport’s parent company, SFX Entertainment, filing bankruptcy and announcing that Beatport and Fame House will be auctioned off in May.
