Folsom Blues Half Marathon
Today runners have the chance to remember legendary singer Johnny Cash at the second annual Folsom Blues Breakout Half Marathon. The 13.1-mile race pays tribute to Johnny Cash, the late singer whose 1955 song ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ became a hit. He later recorded a live album ‘At Folsom Prison’ during a 1968 visit there.

Golden Arches Run
I’m Runnin’ it! Today McDonald’s restaurants in the Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto area are hosting the 2nd Annual Golden Arches Run in Sacramento! This morning we’re meeting one local girl who’s videos have gone viral!! 7-Year-Old Sofia Sanchez’s story has made national headlines after her mom Jennifer posted a series of videos of Sofia, explaining to people that down syndrome is not scary. Since October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month Jennifer wanted to show people that Down Syndrome is nothing to be afraid of and that just because someone has it, it doesn’t mean they cannot have an amazing future like everyone else.
