ALEXANDRIA, VA / March 30, 2015 — Good360, a national nonprofit organization that connects companies who have goods with nonprofits who need them, today launched its latest innovation in technology – GivingPlace360. This new platform connects nonprofits, companies and individuals in one place – allowing Good360 and all of its partners to do more good together in a clear and transparent way.

The online community platform enables:

Companies to make a significant philanthropic impact with their goods and receive real-time data about the impact of their giving,

Small to medium-sized businesses to donate through Good360 for the first time thanks to an easy-to-use online product donation intake tool,

Nonprofits to get the critical goods they need to support their communities, engage their supporters to help with delivery costs and submit impact stories that are visible to donors, and

Individuals to support their favorite nonprofits and causes, subsequently witnessing the tangible impact of their cash donations.

“It’s incredibly important to bring our partners together so they can witness the good they are doing as a network,” said Good360 President and CEO Cindy Hallberlin. “With the launch of Good360’s GivingPlace360, we aim to scale the incredible impact we are already making with our partners by expanding our distribution of donated goods from $300 million to $1 billion annually.”

As part of the launch event, Good360 Board Chair Carly Fiorina and staff will distribute donated products this afternoon in New York City at a local shelter run jointly by B’nai Jeshurun and the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. The organization also celebrated today’s launch by inviting its network of 40,000 nonprofits to create their first nonprofit Wishlists and encouraging their supporters to help them ship donated product provided through Good360. Nonprofit Wishlists can be viewed on the Good360 website at Good360.org. The organization’s Australian affiliate, Good360 Australia, launched its GivingPlace360 platform today as well.

The GivingPlace platform was made possible with funding provided by UPS, HP, 3M and the Knight Foundation, among others.
About Good360

Good360 (Good360.org) connects companies who have products with nonprofits who need them. Since 1983, Good360 has distributed more than $8 billion in donated goods around the world, helping our network of 40,000 prequalified nonprofits strengthen communities and improve the lives of millions of people in need. In 2014 alone, we distributed four million diapers, 10,000 mattresses and 8,000 cartons of clothing, shoes and accessories to hundreds of thousands of people—and that’s just a fraction of what we do each year. Today, Good360 is expanding our impact around the world through new technology that makes giving even more efficient and effective. GivingPlace360 — our innovative new platform — brings nonprofits, companies and individual supporters into a “Circle of Good,” allowing them to work together and do good, better. Later this year, Good360 will launch its newest technology platform—Disaster Recovery360—which will ensure that critically needed products are delivered to the right place at the right time during times of disaster.
