Are you traveling for the holidays this year? Whether you’re hopping on a flight to your parents’ house or taking a quick train ride to your in-laws’, don’t forget these five products.

1. Makeup remover: Why chance a breakout? I love to pack mini makeup removing wipes (Neutrogena makes the best $3 ones) and a toner for extra clean skin.

2. A shower cap: If you’re anything like me, you try to extend your blowout to the last acceptable moment. Plus, who has time to wash and dry their hair with a house full of people? That is why my terry-cloth lined DryBar shower cap is my best friend.

3. A hair refresher: Kerastase Powder Bluff is a two-in-one product made of pure magic. Part dry shampoo, part volumizer. Plus, it smells delicious. No one will notice if you have day-three hair.

4. Eyebrow pencil: Eyebrows are often overlooked, but they are the most important part of your face. I repeat, the *most important* part of your face. Imagine forgetting the product that could make or break a beauty look? Madness. The one I keep in every makeup bag I own: Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil in Soft Brunette.

5. Fragrance: No matter where I go, a travel-sized bottle of my favorite fragrance (Byredo Gypsy Water) comes with me. It just makes me feel secure; like a little bit of home is with me wherever I am.

…And the products my fellow beauty editors won’t leave home without:
“Bumble and bumble Semisumo hair texturizer for my short hair. I can’t just wash and go anymore.” -Ying Chu, Executive Beauty Director

“Shiseido Ultimune Concentrate. It works for every climate and makes whatever I put on top of it that much better.” -Lindsey Unterberger, Executive Online Editor

“Kahina Hand and Body Balm. It’s a do-it-all moisturizer that I use it on my cheek bones and cuticles.” -Simone Kitchens, Deputy Beauty Editor

“La Prairie Eye and Lip Perfecter. So handy, so luxurious—this little compact is the perfect antidote for puffy eyes, chapped lips, and all-around dry skin.” -Maureen Choi, Senior Beauty Editor

“Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Masque. My hair tends to freak out when I travel thanks to changes in humidity and water, and using hotel or house-guest shampoo doesn’t help matters.” -Petra Guglielmetti, blogger
