The European Tour visits western Australian for ISPS Handa Perth International, a co-sanctioned event the PGA Tour of Australia.
The par-72 Lake Karrinyup Country Club hosts the event for a fourth year and it’s an event that has eluded a local winner to date.
Louis Oosthuizen heads the market from Victor Dubuisson but this is one of the weakest international fields in the events history and I fancy an Australian will finally take the crown.
Jason Scrivener has played every Perth International since it’s inception with impressive finishes of T19-T28-T15.
Last year he can consider himself slightly unfortunate, he led the field with 82% GIRs but could make enough putts to get into contention.
So far this season he has been plying his trade at a higher level on the European Tour with reasonable success. In his last five starts he has finished T27-T28-T12-T44-T63 but go back slightly further and you find top-3 finishes at the Hong Kong Open and the WA Open.

Cast you mind back to 2009 and everyone was raving about Michael Sim. The young Australian won three times on the web.com tour and finished T18 at the US Open.
A former amateur world number one, he reached a peak of 34 in the world as a professional but has since disappeared.
The 29-year-old is now ranked 734 in the world and is trying to rebuild his career after injury and a prolonged slump in form destroyed his confidence.
The good news is he’s enjoying his golf again and that goes hand-in-hand with improved results. In the second half of 2015 he started to motor with four top-10s in a three month stretch.
The Australian Open and Australian PGA Championship proved too tough but he’s bounced back with finishes of T5-11 on his last two starts.
The Perth International represents a step up in grade and with that comes added pressure but Sim still has time on his side.
