Las Vegas, Nev. (October 27, 2016)–Practice makes perfect and the new major range renovations at Golf Summerlin course Highland Falls Golf Club will make your practice even more precise. The facility invested hundreds of thousands in the new range and it now features a ton of hitting stalls, new putting and short game greens plus a fairway bunker on the right side of the hitting area, a unique addition to a range area. — By Brian Hurlburt.

To celebrate the opening, Golf Summerlin management has created several new range membership programs, including a monthly unlimited pass for all three facilities for $69 and an annual unlimited range membership, including two lessons, for $699. Golf Summerlin is the home to three courses, the par 72 Highland Falls and Palm Valley, plus the 18-hole executive par 60 Eagle Crest. Each are worth the play and open to all, not just residents of Sun City.

The HOA of Sun City just invested more than $2 million in course renovations on the three layouts and the range area was part of that project, which included new cart paths at Palm Valley and nice new vegetation on the 18th hole at Highland Falls in addition to other improvements.

The three courses at Golf Summerlin were designed by achitect Greg Nash and World Golf Hall of Famer Billy Casper and are referred to as hidden gems. Highland Halls has one two Best of votes in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Recently in my golf notebook for the newspaper, I spoke with Director of Golf Donnie Long.

“It’s exciting to be back open,” Long said. “We have invested a lot of resources to ensure the best conditions for our residents and other golfers, and it’s very satisfying to see the final results.”

Golf Summerlin is located in the northwest part of the valley and about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
